PROJECT OVERVIEW
USI Fall T-shirt
Social Graphics
I regularly designed social posts for United State of Indiana, a local merch company and past client of Green Loop. I worked within a new design style to promote their new fall T-shirt collection, designing and animating Instagram posts using Photoshop and After Effects. Overall, the campaign led to a 104% increase in sales from Instagram from September to October.
Implementing a
New Design Style
USI had no set design style, which allowed for creative experimentation in their social posts. For their fall collection, USI’s graphic designer developed a new design style, sending this post as inspiration. I was tasked to implement this new style across social posts to promote a variety of products.
Designing Halloween Social Posts
From the provided design style, I began creating graphics to promote the Halloween T-shirts from the collection. I cut out the T-shirts, experimented with different backgrounds, and selected sticker and cutout assets from the design style. I really enjoyed this process as I am big fan of Halloween.
Designing for a
Variety of Content
I applied the design style across a variety of content, including fall and winter-related posts. I kept the layouts similar to maintain the style, but changed the colors to evoke the appropriate season. Since the fall posts did not contain merchandise, I adapted by placing the images inside the cutouts for visual consistency with the other designs.
Animating Designs
For a few designs, our team decided we should experiment with animation to grab user attention. I animated the designs using Adobe AfterEffects. I kept the animations short and opted for subtle motion to keep the project within scope.
Overall, the posts in this new design style were a success and contributed to a 104% increase in sales from Instagram from September to October.
